This magic cabinet was specially
designed for the wonderful blues
guitarist and friend Joe Nethercoat.
He owns several custom built tube
amps and wanted a really versatile
cabinet to work perfectly with all of
them.
The cabinet is stereo 8 ohm (each
speaker) or it can be switched to mono
4 or 16 ohm.
It has two microphone capsules positioned in front of the each speaker and with the special heavy duty toggle switch the cab can be switched from stereo to parallel mono.
For this application we used the Celestion G10 Vintage speakers – 60 watt, 97 db, so cabinet’s power can be switched from 60 w stereo to 120w mono. |
